Initial instruction for commercial handling of foodstuffs

Course description

Anyone who has direct contact with open food on a professional basis or works in kitchens or communal catering facilities must be instructed by the responsible health authority or by a doctor appointed by the health authority before starting work.

The instructions take place exclusively online.

Procedure

• Register to make an appointment for online instruction.
• Video identification must be carried out at the time of the instruction appointment. You must select a method for this when you register. Suitable methods include "tzg Video-Ident", Facetime, Ginlo or Signal.
• Procedure for using the "tzg Video-Ident" app: Open the "tzg Video-Ident" app 10 minutes before the booked instruction appointment. Use the code you received by email after registering. Have your ID document ready and wait in the waiting area of the APP until you are contacted by a learning process facilitator.
• Procedure for using other communication tools for video identification:Start your device 10 minutes before the instruction appointment. Have your identification document ready. You will be called between 10 minutes before and 10 minutes after the agreed appointment. You will receive all the necessary instructions for video identification over the phone.

• You will then receive your registration code and can choose between several languages. Foreign languages are shown as subtitles in the German instruction film.
• You can watch an instruction film in the online instruction and read an information sheet. The information sheet is also available in different languages.
• At the end of the online instruction, you complete a test with five questions. The test can be repeated. Finally, you will submit a declaration on the ban on activities* under the Infection Protection Act.
• You have the opportunity to evaluate the online training system and the service on a voluntary basis. We look forward to your feedback.
• Your certificate of instruction will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided.

• PC, notebook, tablet or smartphone
• activated camera
• a video identification procedure. The Technology Centre recommends the "tzg Video-Ident" APP, Facetime, Ginlo or Signal are also suitable. You must download the selected procedure from a webstore for IOS or Android to your smartphone in good time before the booked instruction date.
• stable internet connection
