Water law permit - building in flood areas

A water law permit is required for the construction or extension of buildings in flood areas.

Required documents

Application form with the documents listed on the form.

If changes are to be made to the site without erecting a building, authorisation must be applied for.

In addition, the information sheet on the flood-adapted design of the construction project must be submitted for approval.

Processing time

Four weeks to three months, depending on the complexity of the case.

Fees and charges

Up to 0.6 per cent of the construction sum, depending on the work involved.
