Application deadline

15. November 2025, 23:59

Prerequisites

Requirements for the application

  • There is a significant involvement of FLINTA*
  • The applicants live or work in Munich (S-Bahn area)
  • The project sets positive (queer) feminist impulses
  • The project takes place in 2026
  • The project fulfils the funding criteria of the Department of Culture

Funding from other donors (third-party funding/co-financing) may be included in the project; this is even a prerequisite for larger projects.

In addition to the funding criteria and a plausible project description, the selection criteria include a comprehensible strategy for reaching diverse target groups. Project proposals that strengthen the networking of the field of actors and are realised in cooperation with other initiatives, associations and/or institutions are particularly welcome. In this case, please enclose a confirmation from the cooperation partner and a description of the cooperation or division of tasks with the application.

Questions & Answers

if your project is funded, please note that the funds are not paid out automatically. You must submit a so-called call for funds to us, which can be done informally, for example by e-mail. You will find detailed information on this in the grant notification that you will receive by post after your project has been approved. Please note that the funds can only be paid out from the beginning of 2026 at the earliest. Please plan this into your project timeline

If you are looking for premises, please use the offer on our website or contact us in advance.

to the rooms for culture

Cultural projects in the context of International Women's Day on 8 March should also be applied for with this call. Due to staff shortages, there will be no further call for proposals for 2026.

We expect co-financing from other organisations for applications of around €5,000 or more. The higher the sum, the higher the co-financing should be.

The Internet provides a number of options and video tutorials for merging documents and PDFs, as well as for reducing/compressing them. Please use these programmes, compress image files as far as possible or do without them. You also have the option of submitting the documents in analogue form by post.

Yes, once your project has been completed, you are obliged to submit a proof of utilisation in which you must provide evidence of expenditure and prepare a factual report. You must also prepare a factual report. This should contain a comprehensive description of the course of the project, the goals achieved and the cooperation with partners. Further details on the requirements can be found in the information you received with your grant notification.

if you are focussing on artistic work in Munich, then yes. Please provide us with an explanation, proof or something similar with your application. fLINTA* is an abbreviation. It stands for women, lesbians, inter, non-binary, trans and agender people. The abbreviation exists in different variants, the asterisk at the end is intended to include further variations of gender diversity.
