Art in public space - Annuale

If you are realising freely accessible art projects in public urban spaces, you can apply for the "Art in Public Spaces" competition.

Course description

Competition for art in public spaces: project proposals of up to 15,000 euros on the theme of ‘Open Spaces’

Public space in Munich is scarce and highly sought-after. Questions of space concern everyone in this city – living space, working space, transport space, recreational space, space for interaction, but also for individual artistic development. A time of crisis makes the importance of these spaces all the more palpable.

For the Annuale 2027, Public Art München’s annual programme, the Department of Culture has therefore decided not to impose any narrow thematic, formal or location-specific constraints. We want to create open spaces – and space for art.
