Water law permit - authorisation of measures in floodplains

Water law authorisation is required for certain measures in flood areas.

Course description

The following measures require authorisation under water law:

1. Construction of walls, embankments or similar structures that may impede water runoff;

2. Spreading and depositing substances hazardous to water on the ground, unless the substances may be used in the context of proper agriculture and forestry,

3. Storage of substances hazardous to water outside of facilities;

4. Depositing and not only short-term storage of objects that could obstruct water runoff or be washed away;

5. Raising or deepening the ground surface;

6. Planting trees and shrubs if this conflicts with the objectives of preventive flood protection;

7. Conversion of alluvial forest to another type of utilisation.
