Temporary sewer connections

If you are planning construction site facilities or events (street parties, etc.), you can request temporary sewer connections for sanitary containers.

Description

Temporary connection of sanitary containers to the municipal sewer.

1.Report the need for a temporary sewer connection by e-mail to the responsible team in our construction supervision department. See below for responsibilities and team emails.

2.A suitable discharge point will be determined together with employees of the municipal drainage department, if necessary also during an on-site appointment.

3.You will then be sent a draft contract for the temporary discharge of wastewater. This must be signed and returned to the office.

4.Once the construction site facilities have been dismantled or the event has ended, it is essential to ensure that the Münchner Stadtentwässerung facilities are completely emptied and cleaned.

The following generally applies:

Waste water must be discharged into the municipal sewer. This also applies to construction site facilities with toilet or shower containers that have a water connection. If there is not already an existing sewer connection on the building site that can be used to discharge the wastewater, a temporary sewer connection is required. Tanks are not permitted in Munich due to the uncontrollable risk of overflow.

A temporary connection is also required for street festivals and similar events with sanitary containers in order to properly discharge the waste water produced. Any wastewater containing grease must be channelled through a grease separator before being discharged into the municipal sewer.

Mobile toilet cubicles without a water connection do not require a temporary connection to the sewerage system.

any necessary temporary connections to road gullies or municipal manholes will be made and sealed by MSE. The costs are borne by the applicant.
