Event registration - Closed rooms
Anyone wishing to organise a public entertainment event (dance, music or sports event) in enclosed spaces must register this.
Description
To ensure that the event runs smoothly, the authorities can issue special instructions (e.g. for fire protection, paramedics, noise protection, food hygiene).
Formal safety concept:
Under certain circumstances, you must draw up and agree a formal safety concept for your event.
Distribution of food and beverages:
A catering permit (authorisation) may also be required for the serving of food and beverages.
Responsibility:
District inspectorates are the responsible contact point in the following cases:
- The venue is a business with a catering licence.
- It is an advertising/sales campaign by or in a commercial enterprise (new business openings, car dealerships, bookshops)
Events of all kinds (including non-public events such as weddings, club parties or company events) must always be registered if more than 200 people are to be present at the same time and they take place in rooms that do not have a licence in accordance with the Ordinance on Places of Assembly.
Deadline:
We recommend that you apply four weeks before the planned date. The legal deadline is at least one week before the event. If you register the event at too short notice, we are obliged to issue a permit notice, for which an increased fee will be charged.
