Driving school licence
Anyone wishing to train as a self-employed driving instructor or employ other driving instructors requires a driving school licence.
Prerequisites
- You are at least 25 years old.
- You have a driving instructor licence for the classes for which you are applying for a driving school licence or branch licence.
- You have worked full-time as a driving instructor for at least two years.
- You have attended a course on driving school business management.
- You have the necessary classroom space, the prescribed teaching materials and the teaching vehicles.
Required documents
- Identity card or passport
- fully completed application form (available for download)
- Driving instructor licence (driving instructor's licence)
- Documentation of full-time employment as a driving instructor
- Proof of participation in a "Driving school business management" course
- Plan of the classroom (to scale) and rental agreement
- Declaration that the prescribed teaching materials are available
- List of the number and type of training vehicles
- extended certificate of good conduct in accordance with § 30a Para. 1 No. 1 BZRG for submission to the authorities (must not be older than three months, a written request is necessary for the application). Please contact us for this)
- Extract from the central trade register
- Confirmation from the responsible tax authority that you have fulfilled your tax obligations
- Extract from the commercial register or the register of associations (only required for legal entities or partnerships)
