Course description

Counselling, information and psychosocial support (including during substitution treatment) The addiction counselling service supports you in coming to terms with your substance use and works with you to develop strategies and prospects for managing your life situation. If you wish, counselling can be provided with the assistance of an interpreting service.

Referral to further support services If necessary, the addiction counselling service will help you find a suitable facility (for example, detoxification or therapy) and clarify the costs involved.

Outpatient aftercare Through regular one-to-one sessions as part of outpatient aftercare, you can consolidate the success of your treatment.

Support for mothers and fathers who use substances As a (expectant) mother or father who uses substances, it is important to you to enable your child or children to lead a happy life with every opportunity for development. To this end, you will receive counselling and long-term psychosocial support.

Counselling and support for relatives of people with addiction When someone suffers from an addiction, parents, partners, children and other relatives are also affected. They often do not know how to respond to the addictive behaviour and suffer as a result of the other person’s addiction.

Smoking cessation The addiction counselling service offers smoking cessation courses several times a year.
