Startup packages for SXSW 2027

South by Southwest (SXSW), the world’s largest technology and creative festival, will take place next year from 15 to 21 March 2027 in Austin, Texas. munich business and Munich Startup will once again be there with a Munich delegation.

Munich-based start-ups who want to join the delegation can now apply for a start-up package from munich business and Munich Startup until 30 November 2026.

We will award up to eight packages to eight start-ups, at least two of which will go to startups in the cultural and creative industries.

A start-up package includes:

• one Innovation Badge for attendance at SXSW 2027 (one ticket per start-up)
• a travel allowance of up to 1,000 euros
• inclusion in the Munich delegation’s programme.

South by Southwest is many things in one: a technology, innovation and creative conference, an exhibition, and a comedy, music and film festival. SXSW brings together tech pioneers and innovators, start-ups and companies, creatives and artists from all over the world. Over 75,000 attendees are expected at the SXSW Conference alone. The conference programme comprises well over 1,000 keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops and meet-ups covering eleven thematic areas such as Tech & AI, Cities & Climate, Gaming, Health and Design.
