New platform “Make it in Munich”

“Make it in Munich” is Munich’s official website for skilled workers and new recruits from abroad.

Landing page for skilled workers

International skilled workers and talented individuals who would like to live and work in Munich can now obtain lots of useful information in advance. The make-it-in-munich.com landing page is designed for them and offers tailored support.

Migrants can find official information in various languages on make-it-in-munich.com. Various online services, including German courses, consultations, digital skills, and expert workshops allow them to test and present their skills, as well as establish useful contacts.

All the services offered are free.

Finding and supporting skilled workers

The new official website for skilled workers and new recruits from abroad supports third-country nationals (i.e. non-EU/non-EFTA countries) in their planned and legal migration to Munich. Virtual training and integration services can help individuals prepare for life in Munich even while still in their countries of origin or in transit countries.

Interested individuals can also register for the services and obtain information and support with questions relating to visa and residence criteria. The aim is to inform and advise potential employees about regulations in advance so that they can prepare their applications and subsequent steps, such as language acquisition.

If their path leads them to Munich, it is also a chance to help alleviate the lack of skilled workers facing many companies in the region. “Make it in Munich” wants to bring skilled workers to precisely those areas and companies where they are needed. The website will soon also feature a job portal for foreign skilled workers and new recruits.
