Purchase of public transport tickets without an app

Starting in September 2026, select MVV tickets can be purchased directly through MVG’s new ticket shop. No app or registration is required.

Buy tickets in just a few clicks

Purchase select MVV tickets online through the new ticket shop and save them directly to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The ticket is then immediately valid and allows you to travel within and around Munich in the applicable zones using the S-Bahn, buses, underground, Tram, and regional trains.

Initially, day passes will be available for individuals and groups for travel within the city center (Zone M) as well as for trips between the city center and the airport (Airport-City Day-Ticket). This simplifies the purchase of tickets, especially for tourists, business travelers, and occasional riders.

The easiest way to the Oktoberfest

For the Oktoberfest, MVG is offering a special service: Using QR codes at central locations within Munich, visitors can go directly to the ticket shop, purchase their ticket in just a few steps, save it to their digital wallet, and use it right away.
