Munich is developing into an international player in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the most important technology of the future. The basis for this is the renowned university landscape as well as important research institutes including the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Cognitive Systems IKS.

The location contributes significantly to driving innovation through numerous research institutions, an outstanding start-up landscape and major international companies.
