Promotion of concert projects with new music

If you are a musician and are planning a concert project with contemporary music, you can apply for funding.

Description

The Cultural Department of the City of Munich supports the independent new music scene in Munich and its projects with corresponding programme focuses. Funding is provided for projects in Munich with the participation of Munich-based players. The term New Music includes all forms of contemporary classical and experimental music. Projects in the fields of sound art, improvisation as well as electronic and electro-acoustic music in the broad context of new music are also supported.

This funding is intended to support individual concerts and concert series, small festivals as well as other different event formats.

The Department of Culture wants to help musicians of all genders to shape the Munich music scene. So far, men have been overrepresented. This call for applications is therefore explicitly aimed at people of all genders.
