Fine
In the event of offences against regulations in the areas of trade or safety and order, the fines office is informed and checks whether proceedings should be initiated.
The individual legal areas for which the KVR is responsible and the respective contact persons can be found in the overview list of legal provisions and contact persons at the KVR. Traffic offences in the KVR are not dealt with by the Fines Office, but directly by the Municipal Traffic Monitoring Department (KVÜ). You will find a link to the fine offices of the other departments under Information/Forms.
In the case of minor offences, a warning fine is often issued first. If you pay the fine too late or not at all, or if a mistake is made unnoticed during payment (wrong amount, wrong account number), you will usually automatically receive a fine notice after a few weeks.
The fine is at least 28.50 euros more expensive than the warning fine due to fees and expenses. For offences that are not minor, a fine is usually imposed immediately.
You have two weeks to lodge an objection to the fine notice with the KVR's fines office. You can lodge an objection by letter, fax, telephone or by appearing at the fines office. For legal reasons, it is not possible to lodge an objection by e-mail.
