Financial support for furniture

Support for the necessary initial equipment with necessary furniture and household appliances, but not for subsequent purchases.

Course description

Entitled to benefits:

  • Persons who receive ongoing benefits in accordance with the German Social Code, Twelfth Book (SGB XII - social assistance).
  • Persons who do not receive ongoing benefits under SGB XII, but who belong to the corresponding group of persons under SGB XII and are unable to cover their initial furnishing requirements for furniture and household appliances from their own resources and means.

Benefit:

  • The costs of replacing furniture and electrical appliances are included in the standard monthly requirement - no additional benefits are granted for replacements
  • The costs for the initial purchase of necessary furniture and electrical appliances (e.g. when moving into a new home for the first time) are covered accordingly (if the application is submitted before the purchase)
