Authorisation for waste water from façade cleaning
If you use chemical cleaning agents to clean your outdoor areas (facades, underground car parks), you will need a wastewater disposal permit.
Description
A permit must be obtained for the discharge of wastewater from façade cleaning into the municipal sewer. You have two options to choose from in the application:
- Object authorisation:Authorisation to discharge wastewater from the cleaning of an object (façade, underground car park, etc.).
- Annual authorisation (5 years):This is valid for 5 years until revoked and is independent of the property. During this period, cleaning work for individual properties can simply be registered by e-mail.
Background
Cleaning work on façades using high-pressure cleaners or chemical cleaning agents produces heavily contaminated wastewater that must not seep into the ground and may only be discharged into the municipal sewers after adequate pre-treatment.
The same applies if material is removed by high-pressure water jets for other purposes, for example during the renovation of underground car parks.
