Submit motor vehicle main inspection report

Anyone who operates commercially in occasional transport must submit reports on the annual general inspection of motor vehicles without delay.

Description

If you are a trader in a passenger transport company and wish to submit main inspection reports and proof of defect rectification, you can do so here using the online form.

Please ensure that the documents are legible and complete. Before submitting the documents, please check in the inspection report whether both the main inspection in accordance with § 29 StVZO and the inspection in accordance with § 41 BOKraft have taken place. The sticker (see date "next general inspection") must not be valid for more than one year. If you are unsure, please clarify this with the responsible inspection centre first.

If a follow-up inspection is due, both the initial inspection report and the follow-up inspection report must be submitted. If defects are found during the main inspection, you must have them rectified immediately. Please also submit any proof of defect rectification (e.g. a repair receipt). This will help to avoid follow-up procedures (e.g. a costly audit of your company).

Submit the main and follow-up inspection reports legibly and in full. The online form must be completed separately for each vehicle.

Prerequisites

You are commercially active in occasional transport (taxi, hire car, exempt transport) in the city of Munich.

Questions & Answers

The word "TÜV report" is commonly used for the main inspection report. While this is the name of a testing organisation, there are other testing organisations that also carry out and certify main inspections.

We ask you to submit the documents as completely and collectively as possible. If necessary, you can also submit individual documents separately using the form.

Please contact your inspection centre and have the duration corrected. In this context, also check whether an inspection in accordance with § 41 BOKraft has taken place. If not, this must be carried out.

Please contact your inspection centre and clarify whether the inspection has actually taken place. If not, have the examination carried out immediately. Also make sure that the sticker is valid for the correct period (1 year).

You must arrange for the extraordinary general inspection in accordance with § 42 BOKraft before a vehicle is first put into operation in your company. In subsequent years, you have the inspection carried out in accordance with § 41 BOKraft. If the inspection in accordance with § 42 BOKraft was carried out in the following years instead of the inspection in accordance with § 41 BOKraft, this is harmless.

If the inspection centre has found the defects listed below on your vehicle, you must have them rectified immediately:

  • Significant defects
  • Dangerous defects
  • Defects that make the vehicle unsafe to drive

As long as these defects exist, you may not use the vehicle for commercial passenger transport. If minor defects are found on the vehicle, these must be rectified within one month. However, the vehicle may continue to be used for commercial passenger transport during this period.
