Licence plate re-stamping

If your licence plates or stamp stickers are damaged, you can have the stickers on your licence plates restamped.

Requirements

The vehicle is already registered to you in Munich.

Required documents

  • Registration Certificate Part I (Vehicle Registration Document)
  • Test report or entry in Certificate of Registration Part I confirming a valid general inspection
  • all number plates issued for the vehicle
  • Identity card or passport

Loss or theft of licence plates

If you have lost one (or both) licence plates or they have been stolen, you must report it to the registration office where your vehicle is registered.
