Pick up your bike as a finder

Uncollected bicycles can be collected by the finder. You must arrange a collection date for this.

Description

Lost property is kept by the lost property office for six months. If the lost property has not been collected by the end of this retention period, you as the finder acquire ownership of the item. In this case, you will be notified by us.

You must make an appointment online to collect bicycles. Bikes can only be collected on Tuesdays from Ruppertstraße 19, Entrance A, Room U101.

Prerequisites

  • You have handed in a bicycle or similar item (e.g. scooter, pram) to the lost property office under reservation of ownership.
  • The lost property has not been collected by the end of the retention period (six months).
  • You have received a finder's notification from us with a request to collect the lost property.

Required documents

  • Identity card or passport
  • Collection by a third party is possible with ID, written authorisation and a copy of the ID of the person granting the authorisation.
  • Minors require written authorisation from a parent or legal guardian
  • Finder's notification letter
