Authorisation for waste disposal facilities
Anyone wishing to construct or operate a facility for the treatment, handling or storage of waste requires a permit under immission control law.
Description
This authorisation is a comprehensive real concession which, with a few exceptions, replaces all other permits under public law for the specific project (= concentration effect).
Important steps in the complex procedure are
- Advising the applicant on the procedure and documents
- Checking the completeness of the documents
- Submission to the public interest organisations
- public display and discussion of objections (in part)
- Comparison of the comments received
- Preparation of decision

§§ Sections 4 et seq. of the Federal Immission Control Act in conjunction with the 9th Ordinance on the Implementation of the Federal Immission Control Act (Ordinance on the Authorisation Procedure).
