Authorisation for site drainage
If you wish to construct or modify a property drainage system, drainage plans must be submitted in advance for approval.
Description
If you are planning the construction or modification of a property drainage system below the backwater level*, underground or in the floor slab, a permit must be obtained before construction begins.
*The backwater level is generally the height of the upper edge of the road at the connection point.
A discharge permit must be obtained for wastewater treatment plants. In the case of grease separators and light liquid separators, this is done together with the approval of the property drainage system. A separate authorisation application must be submitted for other wastewater treatment plants.
If you are planning to decommission a previously used connection sewer or require a temporary closure to secure the construction site, this must be ordered from MSE in good time. Further information on the closure of sewer connections.

- The technical form was applied for and observed during planning.
- The rules for handling rainwater were observed during planning.
- The general rules of technology, in particular DIN 1986-100, were observed.
