You can purchase the right to use a grave in the event of a death or during your lifetime.

Description

You can acquire the right to use a grave in the following cemeteries:

  • East cemetery
  • North cemetery
  • Western cemetery
  • Forest cemetery
  • Cemetery at Perlacher Forst
  • New South Cemetery
  • Pasing Cemetery
  • Obermenzing Cemetery
  • Untermenzing Cemetery
  • Park cemetery Untermenzing

These cemeteries can be chosen freely, regardless of residence or other requirements, as in all other cemeteries in Munich. There is a free choice of grave, provided that a corresponding grave is available in the respective grave type at the time. We issue a grave certificate when a right to use a grave is purchased.

There is a wide range of grave types and graves for burial in a coffin or urn. The resting period is ten years. There are different resting periods for children.

Acquire the right to use a grave in the urn cemetery

You can acquire the right to use an urn burial plot in the cemetery at the crematorium in the event of a recent death or during your lifetime.

Waiver of grave utilisation rights

Once the prescribed resting period has expired, you can relinquish grave utilisation rights.
