Transmission block

Prerequisites

The right to register provides for the possibility of registering a transmission block in the following cases:

• Information to political parties, voter groups and other bodies submitting electoral proposals: During the six-month period prior to elections and referendums at national and local level, basic information from the register of residents regarding eligible voters (target groups categorised by age) may be provided. The information includes surnames, first names, academic titles and the current address. This information may only be provided if you have not objected.
• Information to religious organisations recognised under public law: The registration authorities provide religious organisations recognised under public law with the data of their members. The registration authority provides certain basic data on family members of a church member who do not belong to the same religious organisation recognised under public law or to any such organisation at all. In this context, family members are defined as spouses, minor children and the parents of minor children. As an affected family member, you may apply for a transfer ban and thus prevent your data from being passed on. For applications concerning minor children, the written consent of the legal guardians is required. Where data is transmitted for the purposes of tax collection by the relevant religious organisation recognised under public law, this right to object does not apply.
• Information on milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries: Information from the register of residents regarding milestone birthdays and wedding anniversaries may be provided to political parties, voter groups, members of parliamentary bodies and their candidates, as well as to the press and broadcast media. The information includes the surname, first name, academic title, address, and the date and type of anniversary. An objection by one spouse to the disclosure of marriage anniversaries also applies to the other spouse. Such an objection may only be withdrawn by both spouses jointly.

Requirements for using the online service:

• You hold a German identity card, an eID card or an electronic residence permit.
• Your electronic identification function is active.
• You have the AusweisApp2, an NFC-enabled smartphone or a compatible device.
• You are registered on the Bayernportal using your electronic ID (registration can be completed via the online service)
