Personalised special parking spaces for people with disabilities

Anyone wishing to set up a personalised special parking space on public roads requires a permit to do so.

Description

Anyone wishing to set up a special personal parking space on public roads requires a permit. Special parking spaces can only be set up in front of the main residence and not in front of the workplace.

Prerequisites

If a special personal car park is to be set up on public roads, we must also inform the local district committee and the police inspectorate and ask for their opinion before approval is granted.

Required documents

  • Copy of the severely disabled person's ID card ("aG" feature is a prerequisite)
  • Copy of the exemption authorisation for the use of general disabled parking spaces
  • or
  • Copy of the blue parking permit (front and back)
  • Copy of the registration certificate part I (vehicle licence)
  • Copy of the driving licence

  • current medical certificate on the state of health and ability to walk (what distance can be travelled)
  • Proof of why the use or rental of a parking space on private property is not possible despite efforts (e.g. confirmation from the landlord or property management)

  • how often and for what purpose the vehicle will be used
  • at what times you need the vehicle
  • who will use the vehicle apart from you
  • how you will reach your flat from the desired special parking space
  • where the vehicle was previously parked
  • whether you use a special vehicle with an extendable ramp or similar
