Are you a landlord (owner) and want to submit a landlord confirmation online? Then you must fulfil certain requirements.

Description

Fine offence:

It is prohibited to offer or make available a residential address for registration if actual occupation of the dwelling neither takes place nor is intended. A violation of this prohibition constitutes an administrative offence and can be punished with a fine of up to 50,000 euros. Failure to confirm the move-in as well as false or untimely confirmation of the move-in can be punished as administrative offences with fines of up to 1,000 euros.

As the landlord or owner (person providing the accommodation), you are legally obliged to confirm the arrival of a person subject to registration (tenant, subtenant, owner) within two weeks.

Prerequisites

  • You have a German ID card, an eID card or an electronic residence permit.
  • Your electronic identification function is active
  • You have the AusweisApp2 or a corresponding device
