Addiction counselling

The city's addiction counselling service provides free help with alcohol, medication, nicotine or gambling addiction as well as addiction to opiates and other illegal drugs.

Description

Counselling, information and psychosocial support (also for substitution)
The addiction counselling service supports you in dealing with your consumption and works with you to find ways and perspectives to cope with your life situation. At your request, counselling can take place with the support of an interpreting service.

Referral to further services
If necessary, the addiction counselling service will support you in your search for a suitable facility (e.g. detoxification, therapy) and in clarifying costs.

Outpatient aftercare
You can consolidate the success of your therapy through regular one-to-one sessions in the form of outpatient aftercare.

Support for consuming mothers and fathers As a consuming (expectant) mother or father, it is important to you to give your child or children a happy life with every opportunity for development. To this end, you will receive counselling and long-term psychosocial support.

Counselling and support for relatives of addicts
When a person suffers from an addiction, parents, partners and children or other relatives are also affected. They often do not know how to react to the addictive behaviour and suffer from the other person's addiction.

Smoking cessation
The addiction counselling service offers smoking cessation courses several times a year.

Debtor and legal counselling Criminal law
The information centre offers specialist individual counselling free of charge and anonymously. You can find out the specific dates by calling the addiction counselling centre.
