Counselling in accommodation - Nursing care
In shared accommodation, we offer health counselling by health and nursing staff.
Course description
Health and nursing staff visit people and families aged six and over in community centres for asylum seekers. We provide personalised advice on all health issues. The service is free and voluntary. We work closely with the local social services and property managers.
Counselling on health issues such as:
- Assistance in the health and social system
- Specific case-related health counselling and support
- Connection to medical specialists, psychosocial facilities and clinics
- Dealing with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety
- Post-traumatic stress disorder, addiction
- Dealing with chronic physical illnesses such as diabetes, cancer
- Preventive medical check-ups
- Group training, for example on vaccinations, dental care and more
- Health prevention, for example nutrition, sport, stress reduction
- Female genital mutilation
- Accident prevention for people with mental and/or physical disabilities
- Advice on care and care aids
- Consultation of interpreters possible
