Waste producer number

If waste producers who are required to provide evidence generate at least two tonnes of hazardous waste per year, they require a waste producer number.

Description

If hazardous waste is produced for disposal and/or recycling and the total annual quantity of all hazardous waste is at least 2 tonnes, waste producers who are required to provide evidence of this in accordance with the Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act require a waste producer number.

The waste producer number must be applied for in good time before the start of construction work or disposal.
