Internship abroad during or after training

Are you doing an apprenticeship or have just completed it and would like to do an internship in another EU country? Then apply for a scholarship.

Description

Would you like to expand your international professional skills and increase your personal employability? Then apply now for a scholarship.
The EU Erasmus+ funding programme is aimed at all trainees and graduates of a Munich vocational school. With the help of the funding, we support you in financing and developing your internship programme abroad. You can choose the duration of the internship individually. Whether for just two weeks or 12 months, there is something for everyone. We will also advise you on finding a suitable internship position and accommodation.

Prerequisites

The following can apply for the scholarship

  • Trainees at a Munich vocational school regardless of the location of their place of work
  • Graduates of a Munich vocational school up to 12 months after graduation

Required documents

Complete the application form online. Graduates should also submit a copy of their certificate and proof of adequate insurance cover.

Duration & Costs

Processing time

Apply online using the application form at least four months before your planned stay.

Fees

Counselling is free of charge.
The scholarships are funded by the EU Erasmus+ funding programme.
The amount of the scholarship is made up of the travel costs and accommodation costs.
The travel allowance depends on the distance to the destination country:

  • 180 € up to 499 kilometres
  • 275 € up to 1999 kilometres
  • 360 € up to 2999 kilometres

The accommodation costs depend on the destination country and the duration of the internship.
These are lump sums that vary depending on the country. It is therefore possible that the costs will not be covered 100 per cent.

Questions & Answers

What is funded?
Funding is provided for work placements or learning or teaching periods in an EU country. The scholarship covers travel and subsistence costs with lump sums that vary depending on the country.

Is there an application deadline?
Apply as early as possible so that we can include you in our project planning.
If we have selected you for a scholarship, we need precise information about your internship position at least three months before your stay abroad.
Important for graduates: You are only eligible for funding up to 12 months after graduation. The date of your degree certificate is decisive here.

Is there a minimum stay for a stay abroad with Erasmus+?
Trainees or graduates may spend a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 months abroad.
