Internship abroad during or after training

Are you doing an apprenticeship or have just completed it and would like to do an internship in another EU country? Then apply for a scholarship.

Course description

Would you like to expand your international professional skills and increase your personal employability? Then apply now for a scholarship: The EU Erasmus+ funding programme is aimed at all trainees and graduates of a Munich vocational school. We use the funding to help you finance and develop your programme abroad. You can choose the duration of your internship individually. Whether for just two weeks or 12 months, there is something for everyone. We will also advise you on finding a suitable internship position and accommodation.

Prerequisites

The following can apply for the scholarship

  • Trainees at a Munich vocational school regardless of the location of their place of work
  • Graduates of a Munich vocational school up to 12 months after graduation

Required documents

Complete the application form online. Graduates should also submit a copy of their certificate and proof of adequate insurance cover.

Duration and costs

Processing time

Apply online using the application form at least four months before your planned stay.

Fees and charges

The advice is free of charge. The grants are funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme. The amount of the grant covers travel and subsistence costs. The flat-rate travel allowance depends on the distance to the destination country:

  • €180 for up to 499 kilometres
  • €275 for up to 1,999 kilometres
  • €360 for up to 2,999 kilometres

Living costs depend on the destination country and the duration of the placement. These are flat-rate amounts, which vary from country to country. Consequently, it is possible that the costs may not be covered in full.

Questions & Answers

Funding is available for work placements or study or apprenticeship stays in an EU country. The grant covers travel and living costs with flat-rate allowances that vary depending on the country.

Please apply as early as possible so that we can take you into account in our project planning.

If we have selected you for a grant, we will need detailed information about your placement at least three months before your stay abroad.

Important for graduates: You are only eligible for funding for up to 12 months after your graduation. The date on your degree certificate is decisive in this regard.

Trainees or graduates may spend a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 months abroad.
