Old-age pension (telephone appointment)

If you would like to apply for your old-age pension, you can make an appointment by telephone.

Description

  • If you submit the application to us within the set deadline, you have met the statutory deadline.
  • The clerks complete all application forms online and forward them directly to the relevant pension provider. This ensures quick, prompt and complete processing by the pension provider.

The following old-age pensions are available:

  • Standard old-age pension
  • Old-age pension for long-term insured persons
  • Old-age pension for severely disabled people
  • Old-age pension for particularly long-term insured persons

Alternatively, you can also arrange a personal application appointment.

Prerequisites

  • You must live or work in Munich.
  • Old-age pensions are monthly payments from the statutory pension insurance scheme that insured persons can receive from a certain age. The required minimum insurance period ("qualifying period") must be fulfilled and the special insurance and personal requirements must be met.

Required documents

A copy of the required documents may need to be submitted for a telephone appointment.

  • Identity card or passport
  • Insurance history or pension information
  • Bank details including IBAN and BIC (see bank statement)
  • Health insurance card
  • Tax identification number
  • Severely disabled person's pass and certificate
  • Birth certificates of children
  • Apprenticeship contract or certificate, school or university certificates from the age of 17, also from abroad
  • Foreign insurance certificates (e.g. work book, diploma)
  • Proof of social benefits (e.g. unemployment benefit I and II, sickness benefit)
  • Proof of company pensions

No, every pension must be applied for. All pensions have deadlines within which they must be applied for; old-age pensions should be applied for in good time, i.e. at least three months before the desired pension start date.
