Hire of school sports facilities

Description

The Department of Education and Sport offers clubs, social institutions, privately organised groups and commercial providers the opportunity to rent municipal school sports facilities.

As a rule, facilities are only rented out for sporting purposes.

School sports facilities can be rented for the duration of a season, for a school year or for individual dates. Holiday bookings must be applied for separately for each holiday. During the Christmas holidays, only selected sports facilities are available for competitive sports.

Types of sports facilities

• Sports halls
  • Fitness rooms
  • Small sports halls (up to 200 square metres)
  • Single halls (201 to 405 square metres)
  • Double halls (406 to 810 square metres)
  • Triple halls (811 to 1215 square metres)
• School swimming pools
• Outdoor sports facilities

Football

Football is only permitted in all sports halls up to the age of 13.

Futsal is possible under the following conditions:

• League play
• Year-round occupancy

The transfer does not include holidays and public holidays. A separate application must be submitted in this case. Applications must be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the event. Booking times before 8 p.m. are prioritised for children's/youth groups.

Prerequisites

Sports halls

• Sports groups with a regular number of participants of at least ten people for ball sports and 15 people for other sports
• Double and triple halls only for sports clubs in league play for the following sports:
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Badminton
  • Handball
  • Futsal
  • Hockey

Outdoor sports facilities

Use only in the summer season (Easter holidays to autumn holidays)

Swimming pools

Use only by sports clubs and swimming schools

• Club statutes
• Extract from the register of associations
• proof of membership of umbrella or professional association (sports clubs), if applicable
• Notice of exemption from the tax office

Extract from the commercial register
