Apply for owner and data confirmations for a motor vehicle

An owner confirmation or data confirmation can be issued for authorities, vehicle owners, car dealerships or vehicle manufacturers.

Required documents

  • Identity card or passport
  • For minors: Declaration of consent from the parent or legal guardian. If only one parent has parental authority, this must be proven by a custody order or a court judgement.
  • In the case of guardianship for "official and administrative matters": Carer's identity card
  • For proxies: written power of attorney (original) as well as ID of the authorised representative (original) and ID of the principal (copy)
  • for sales: complete proof from the last registered owner to the current buyer
