Vehicle transfer - within Munich
If you are the new owner of a vehicle that is already registered in Munich, you must re-register your vehicle (including trailer).
Description
With your online licence plate function, you can conveniently re-register your vehicle online from home.
- If the vehicle is still registered in Munich, you can keep the licence plate number. You can also use a new licence plate.
- If the vehicle is currently not in use (immobilised), you will need a new number plate.
- You have the option of applying for a special licence plate.
- If you move within Munich, you do not need to transfer your vehicle, but you do need to have the change of address entered in the registration certificate part I.
