Coffin burial

The municipal cemeteries offer coffin or earth burial. We discuss dates and details personally with the client.

Course description

Alongside urn burials, coffin burials and interment are the core services offered by Munich Municipal Cemeteries as part of its funeral services.

The Munich Municipal Cemeteries arrange the details – in particular the date – with the clients commissioning the funeral.

  • Placement of the coffin in the chapel of rest for the subsequent funeral service
  • Funeral service or farewell ceremony
  • Transport of the coffin in the funeral procession from the funeral parlour to the grave
  • Placing the coffin over the open grave
  • Assistance with the religious ceremony
  • Lowering the coffin
