Commissioning of an official medical report

As a public authority or public institution, you can commission us to carry out medical examinations of your Munich employees.

Description

We offer medical reports on the following issues:

Civil servants:

  • Civil service on revocation, probation or for life
  • Fitness for duty, retirement, convalescence, rehabilitation and reintegration
  • Compulsory reductions in teaching hours for teachers
  • Accidents at work

Employees covered by collective agreements(TVöD Section 3 (3) and TV-L Section 3 (5))

  • Recruitment examinations
  • Immediate fitness for work examination (in this context also questions on reduced earning capacity and, if applicable, rehabilitation options)

In the Health Certificate Administration Regulation (GesZVV), Annex 1, you will find a detailed list of the types of certificates issued by the health authorities (lower health authorities) in Bavaria.

The more precisely the orders are formulated, the more accurately we can prepare the expert opinion.

Prerequisites

You are

  • an authority of the City of Munich, the Free State of Bavaria or the Federal Government,
  • an institution, foundation or corporation under public law.

In the case of employers with other legal forms, we can check on a case-by-case basis whether a contractually regulated cooperation is possible, provided this is in the public interest.

Required documents

You must authorise us in writing. Very urgent orders can also be faxed to us in advance. In order to process the investigation request, we require the following information about the employees concerned:

  • Surname, first name, date of birth and address
  • Telephone number for any rescheduled appointments (the appointment itself is made in writing)
  • Information on any absences due to holidays, work commitments or inpatient treatment
  • Details of the speciality of the doctor who issued the certificate of incapacity for work.

We will be happy to send you a brief summary including possible formulation templates on request.

Duration & Costs

Processing time

Allocation of the examination appointment:

  • As soon as we have received your complete order, we will usually allocate an examination appointment within three to four weeks. If the assessment is very urgent and your in-house courier service can call in the employees concerned directly, in exceptional cases we will also allocate an appointment at shorter notice within ten days.
  • For immediate examinations, we will grant an appointment within three working days. To do this, we ask you to make an appointment by telephone and also send us the written order by fax. We will then inform you of the examination date by telephone on the same or the following working day, which you will then forward to your employee.

Preparation of the report:
Once all documents have been submitted, you can expect the report to be sent to you within three weeks of the examination appointment. However, if further documents need to be requested, completion may be delayed accordingly.

Fees

  • Assessment of fitness for duty
Depending on the speciality and the need for an additional assessment, 130 euros to 165 euros
  • Recruitment examinations under civil service and collective bargaining law
    90 euros

We may charge additional costs for laboratory or instrumental examinations.

Questions & Answers

No. However, we do need the speciality of the doctor writing the sick note for the assignment, as the speciality is taken into account when assigning the medical examiners.

We have specialists from various disciplines in our department, such as psychiatry, orthopaedics, surgery, internal medicine/oncology/gastroenterology, general medicine and radiology. This means that most questions can be dealt with directly in-house. An additional external assessment is only required in very rare cases with very specialised questions.

These are so-called form reports. This means that the questions we are asked are answered in compliance with medical confidentiality. Against this background, it is necessary to formulate the questions precisely in order for the report to be meaningful.

In principle, the report is sent to the client. In justified exceptional cases, the report can be sent to the person being examined. The commissioning body will then be informed of the dispatch.

Legal basis

  • Collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L)
  • Collective agreement for the public service (TVöD)
  • Bavarian Civil Service Act (BayBG)
  • Health Certificate Administration Regulation (GesZVV) with Annex 1
  • Fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ)
