Reporting abandoned scrap bikes

Course description

If you notice a neglected bicycle, a scrap bike or a bicycle that nobody uses any more, you can report it to the Building Department by telephone or email.

In addition, the Building Department, together with the city’s subsidiary P+R Park & Ride GmbH, regularly inspects all roads and pavements within the Mittlerer Ring and removes abandoned and scrap bicycles. P+R Park & Ride GmbH carries out this work in the following steps:

• Scrap bikes and bikes that are clearly abandoned are marked with a banderole.
• This band indicates that the bicycle will be removed after four weeks.
• If, after four weeks, the tag is still intact on the bicycle, P+R Park & Ride GmbH will collect the bicycle and store it for two months. During this time, the owner can still collect the bicycle.
