Funding for advice on all aspects of electromobility
If you commission a consultancy project on the subject of electromobility in the city of Munich, you can apply for funding.
munich City Council has decided to end the "Climate Neutral Drives" funding programme on 2 July 2025. Applications can no longer be submitted.Applications that have already been approved are not affected by the funding freeze. The funding is still reserved.
Prerequisites
Funding is available:
- Consultations carried out by electric mobility consultants listed in the funding portal or consultants with appropriate qualifications
- Consultancy for projects in the city of Munich

Required documents
- You can submit an application in the funding portal.
- All you need is an offer or a description of the counselling project.
- The documents required for the proof of utilisation can be found in the funding guidelines.
Questions & Answers
Consultancy services on the topic of electromobility provided by qualified consultants are eligible for funding.
When applying, you can choose from all the consultants we know.
If you cannot find your consultant on the list, you can still specify them and add the relevant proof of qualification.
The consultation must include a mobility analysis, a technical presentation and a profitability calculation. Furthermore, a life cycle assessment and the funding opportunities must be shown.

Local authorities, state and federal authorities are not eligible to apply
- The application can be submitted online in the City of Munich's funding portal.
- You must first register here and can then submit one or more funding applications.
- Notification of funding and further communication will take place via the funding portal.
- Please do not send us emails with questions about funding applications submitted, but use the notification function in the funding portal instead
Consultancy services may only be commissioned once approval has been received following submission of the application in the online portal.
Yes, a down payment counts as a commission and is only permitted after receipt of the authorisation following submission of the application in the online portal .
Consultancy services are funded at 80 per cent of the net costs.
The maximum funding amount is 4,500 euros.
Legal basis
The "Climate-neutral drives" funding programme is a voluntary service provided by the City of Munich. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
The allocation of funding depends on how much money is available in the city budget.
