Electricity, gas and water from the municipal utilities

Description

If you have just moved to Munich, you can register online with Stadwerke München for M-Strom Direkt, M-Ökostrom, M-Erdgas Direkt and M-Ökogas.

If you are moving house, you can use the online service to simply re-register your existing electricity and natural gas meter or deregister your water meter for M-Strom Direkt, M-Ökostrom, M-Erdgas Direkt and M-Ökogas, which are available nationwide.

If you move out, you can quickly and conveniently deregister your existing electricity, natural gas and water meters yourself online.

Required documents

Move in, registration:

• Your new address
• Move-in date
• Meter number and meter readings (electricity, natural gas, water and/or district heating)
• name of the previous tenant, if applicable

After about a week you will receive a letter from us. You will be welcomed as a new customer and will receive a brochure (PDF) and general information as well as your personal contract account number.

Relocation:

• Your previous contract account number
• Move-out date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/water/natural gas in the old flat
• new tenant, if applicable
• new address
• Move-in date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/water/natural gas in the new flat
• name of the previous tenant, if applicable

Move-out, deregistration:

• Your previous contract account number
• old address
• Move-out date
• Meter number and meter readings for electricity/water/natural gas in the old flat
• new tenant, if applicable
• new address

Please let us know your new address so that we can send you your final statement. You will receive the final bill by post after approx. one week.
