Hood Training was developed by Hood Training gGmbH in Bremen and has been successfully used throughout Germany since 2019 in areas such as crime and violence prevention, working with hard-to-reach young people in public spaces. The aim of the sessions is to foster a positive sense of self-efficacy on both a physical and social level, to build a relationship of trust between trainers and young people, and, in the long term, to open them up to alternative behaviours and outlooks on life. In addition to calisthenics programmes, the Hood Training method also allows for a range of other activities (such as boxing, graffiti, hip-hop and dance).

The project is funded by the following foundations: City of Munich – URBS Foundation – DIE STADT
