Health certificate (dog, cat, ferret, birds)
Many destination countries require a veterinary health certificate for entry with a pet (dogs, cats, ferrets, birds).
Description
You should clarify at an early stage, preferably when planning your holiday, whether the pets can travel with you or who will look after them while you are away. If the animals are travelling with you, you must comply with numerous legal regulations.
When travelling within the EU, your pet (dog, cat and ferret) needs an EU pet passport. Among other things, it contains the animal's transponder number and proof of rabies vaccination. The passport is issued by any authorised vet.
Please note that when travelling to non-listed third countries, proof of a sufficient rabies antibody titer must be provided before the start of the journey to ensure smooth re-entry into the EU. You can have this determined at your veterinary practice.
You must enquire about the entry requirements for your pet at the destination country on your own responsibility and, if necessary, obtain forms from the respective consulates.
Please bring these forms with you to us. We will check these and other necessary documents (such as rabies vaccination) for the necessary official confirmation.
We are switching to a new appointment system. Please note therefore:
