Description

  • If you would like to apply for a reduced earning capacity pension, we recommend that you make an individual appointment with us.
  • If you submit the application to us within the set deadline, you will have met the statutory deadline.
  • The clerks complete all application forms online and forward them directly to the relevant pension provider. This ensures quick, prompt and complete processing by the pension provider.

The following reduced earning capacity pensions are available:

  • Pension due to partial reduction in earning capacity
  • Pension due to full reduction in earning capacity

Alternatively, you can also make an appointment to apply by telephone.

Prerequisites

  • You must live or work in Munich.
  • Reduced earning capacity pensions are monthly payments from the statutory pension insurance scheme that insured persons can receive in the event of certain health impairments. The required minimum insurance period ("waiting period") must be fulfilled and special insurance law and personal requirements must be met.

Required documents

  • Identity card or passport
  • Insurance history or pension information
  • Bank details including IBAN and BIC (see bank statement)
  • Health insurance card
  • Tax identification number
  • Medical certificates and reports (if available)
  • Addresses of attending physicians
  • Severely disabled person's pass and certificate
  • Birth certificates of children (for women of all children, for men of one child)
  • Apprenticeship contract or certificate, school or university certificates from the age of 16
  • Foreign insurance certificates (e.g. work book, diploma)
  • Proof of company pension
  • If you are unable to come yourself, an authorised representative with written power of attorney can also submit the application on your behalf.

You should submit the original documents. You can also submit missing documents at a later date.
