Transmission block
You can use a transmission block to prevent your registration data from being passed on.
Description
The storage of the transmission blocks is valid until we receive a cancellation from you.
The registration law provides for the possibility of entering a transfer block in the following cases:
- Information to parties, voter groups and other organisers of election proposals: In the period of six months before elections and votes at state and municipal level, simple information from the population register may be provided about eligible voters (target groups based on age). The information contains surnames, first names, doctor's degree and current address. This information may only be provided if you have not objected.
- Information to religious organisations under public law: One of the tasks of the registration authorities is to transmit the data of their members to religious organisations under public law. The registration authority transmits some basic data on family members of a church member who do not belong to the same or any public religious organisation; family members in this case are the spouse, underage children and the parents of underage children. As a family member concerned, you can apply for a transfer block and thus prevent your data from being passed on.
In the case of applications for underage children, a written declaration of consent from the legal guardians is required.
This right of objection does not apply if the data is transmitted for the purposes of the tax collection law of the respective public-law religious organisation.
- Information on age and marriage ann iversaries: Information on age and marriage anniversaries may be provided to political parties, electoral groups, members of parliamentary representative bodies and their candidates as well as to the press and radio. The information contains the surname, first names, doctor's degree, address and date and type of anniversary. The objection of one spouse to the transmission of marriage anniversaries also applies to the other spouse. This objection can only be revoked by both spouses jointly.
- Information to address book publishers: The Registration Act allows information about surnames, first names, doctor's degree and address of residents who are at least 18 years old. You can object to this information.
- Information to the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Personnel Management: To enable the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Personnel Management to provide information on voluntary military service, the registration authorities transmit the surname, first name and current address of persons with German citizenship who will turn 18 in the coming year by 31 March each year. You can object to this information.
