Apply for an information stand

You need a special use permit for information stands with religious, ideological, historical or political content on public land.

Please note the different rules and application forms for information stands inside or outside the Old Town pedestrian zone.

Rules for information stands within the Old Town pedestrian zone:

  • limited choice of locations:
  1. Schützenstraße, opposite property no. 1
  2. Neuhauser Straße, in front of property no. 3
  3. Neuhauser Straße, in front of property no. 12
  4. Kaufingerstraße, in front of property no. 13
  5. Kaufingerstraße, opposite property no. 20
  6. Rosenstraße, in front of property no. 1 - 5
  7. Petersplatz, opposite property no. 8 (parking area slightly sloping)
  8. Sendlinger Straße, in front of property no. 4
  9. Sendlinger Straße, in front of property no. 11
  • Size: maximum six square metres
  • Pavilions are not permitted.
  • Permission is granted for a maximum of four hours per day. Only one stand per day can be approved per organisation.
  • Access permits for setting up and dismantling the information stands cannot be granted.

Rules for information stands in the rest of the city:

  • The location must be chosen in such a way that a passage of at least 1.60 metres in width remains free for pedestrians.
  • Please state the street name and house number in the application.
  • Size: maximum nine square metres
  • Pavilions are generally permitted.

Any commercial activity (such as advertising, commercial sale of goods) is not permitted at an information stand.

A limited sale of plaques, brochures or books at cost price may be permitted if the interest in the dissemination of information is paramount.

  • Entry in the register of associations
  • Authorisation of the chairman of the association

Fees

Special usage fee from 1 January 2015:

  • Information stand in the area covered by the Old Town pedestrian area statutes per stand per day: 12 euros
  • On the other streets of city district 1 and in areas 2 and 3 per stand per day: 8 euros
  • In the other city districts per stand per day: 6 euros

Plus 10 euros administration fee per application
You can register up to five information stands with one application.
