Restricted areas in the city

It is generally forbidden to initiate or practise prostitution in public. In the restricted areas, the ban also applies to private premises.

Description

The Munich restricted area ordinance lists all streets and places in the city where it is forbidden to initiate and provide paid sexual services. The ban applies everywhere in the restricted area - in other words, it applies not only to public places, but also to mobile homes, private flats, hotel rooms, clubs, saunas and any other location.
However, there are exceptions for making contact with customers in public: approaching customers is permitted in special solicitation zones (see information sheet for download).
