Art hire in the Artothek
In the Artothek you can borrow works of art by Munich artists for private homes and offices.
Course description
Borrowing works of art works in a similar way to libraries: you choose a loan period of one, two or four months. Two renewals are possible, the maximum loan period is one year.
Please note: Loans, renewals and returns are only possible in person at the Artothek - not by telephone or online.
Prerequisites
You can use the art hire service if you live in the Munich area and are at least 14 years old.
The Munich area includes: the City of Munich and the districts of Dachau, Ebersberg, Erding, Freising, Fürstenfeldbruck, Landsberg am Lech, Munich and Starnberg.
Required documents
You will need a valid identity card to register. You will receive your hire card directly on site.

There are accessible car parks on Burgstraße. The Artothek is accessible via a mobile ramp through the main entrance at Burgstraße 4, subject to prior booking. Please email us in advance or call us during our opening hours before your visit. Assistance dogs are permitted.
