Collection of electronic residence permits and travel documents

If you would like to collect your electronic residence permit or electronic travel document, you will need an appointment.

Course description

If you did not book direct dispatch via Bundesdruckerei when you applied for your document, you can book an appointment to collect your electronic residence permit or travel document. Appointments for collection are activated every morning: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday at 8.30 a.m.

When your eAT or eRA is ready for collection, you can make an appointment online to collect it.

Prerequisites

Please check online in advance whether your documents are ready for collection and then book an appointment to collect them.

If available:

  • previous documents in paper form (e.g. toleration, authorisation, fictitious certificate)
  • previous electronic residence permit
  • previous electronic travel document

If your lost or stolen eID card turns up, please inform your Citizens Office immediately.

eID card (EU/EEA)

Citizens from an EU country (except Germany) or Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein can apply for an eID card.
