Counselling for people with mental health problems

Social psychiatric services (SPDi) are counselling centres for people with mental health problems and their relatives. There are ten of these SPDis in Munich.

Description

The staff at SPDis provide counselling if you or your relatives are suffering from mental health problems. They also provide information and support in acute crisis situations, accompany you in the long term and are also happy to arrange a home visit with you.

The teams consist of medically, psychiatrically, psychologically and socio-educationally trained staff who are there to support you and refer you to other specific centres if necessary.

Services offered:

  • Counselling on individual social and mental health issues (in person and by telephone)
  • Referral to further support services
  • Support with social participation
  • Home visits
  • Help in crisis situations
  • Group offers for leisure activities

The services offered may vary slightly in individual cases.

The geriatric psychiatry services are available for people over the age of 60.

Counselling is free and anonymous. Our employees are bound to confidentiality.
