Description

We offer counselling and information on the topics of sexual and gender identity and are active in equality work for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans*, inter* and queer people.

Prerequisites

The LGBTIQ* Equality Coordination Centre offers the following services:

  • Counselling for citizens on LGBTIQ*-specific disadvantages and problems with the city administration
  • Counselling for municipal employees on how to deal with their own sexual and gender identity in the workplace (e.g. coming out, transition, etc.)
  • Specialist counselling and expert discussions for the city administration, facilities and institutions in Munich
  • Networking, support and cooperation with groups and associations from the LGBTIQ* community
  • Information on the topic of LGBTIQ*

Registration of a marriage

Before the marriage, the engaged couple must register their marriage at the relevant registry office.

If you want to get married in Munich but do not have a main residence or secondary residence in Munich, you must fulfil certain requirements.

Notification of a marriage contracted abroad

If German nationals have entered into a marriage or civil partnership abroad, they can have this subsequently certified in Germany.

Change in the marriage or civil partnership register

Would you like to change or correct your entry in the marriage or civil partnership register? Then you can report this online.

Registration of a marriage with a foreign connection

If you want to get married, you must register this in advance at the relevant registry office. If you have a foreign connection, this must be taken into account.
